Rescue + Recovery

Rescue and Recovery is a Bible centered, faith-based addiction program that includes a complete curriculum revealing the truth about addiction and how to succeed. R+R is a non-residential program that provides a weekly support group with teaching, encouragement and accountability. 6:30 pm every Thursday night.

There's a place here for you

Sunday School

Our pastor leads an auditorium class for adults of all ages, with a wonderful mixture of personalities and walks of life. Whether single or married, old or young, you will be blessed as you dig into God’s word with this class. A smaller group of adults make up the Berean Class (Acts 17:10-11), where they search the scriptures to learn sound doctrine and how to apply it to their everyday lives. They meet in a separate classroom conducive for learning and discussion.

IMPACT Teens

Our youth ministry desires to honor and glorify God as teens are trained to serve the Lord. Designed for grades 7-12, our youth will grow up to be young adults ready to follow God’s will for their lives, and be a tremendous asset in all levels of ministry. Various activities throughout the year help build God’s word into their every day lives, such as summer teen camp, game nights, and seasonal activities. Meeting weekly on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings helps the teens stay consistent in their walk with God.

Married Life

The strength of a church depends on the strength of the families that make up that body of believers. Come join the married couples class as we use the Bible to address the needs of husbands, wives, and growing families, and strengthen the spiritual foundation of our homes.

Master Clubs

The purpose of Master Clubs is to bring kids to Christ and then disciple them to live for Him. Kids age 5-12 will grow up to be the leaders of our church, so we provide a training opportunity every Wednesday night for them to learn more about God and His Word. They have a chance to put their training into action through projects and competitions that Master Clubs provides. Here is a link to what Master Clubs is all about: masterclubs.org

Jr. Church

Junior Church takes place during the morning worship hour. Kids in grades 1 - 6 have their own “junior” church service guided by loving adults with years of experience teaching elementary aged children. The kids sing songs, have a Bible lesson, and even provide their own music specials allowing them to use their talents for the Lord. Junior church is the perfect step to help kids transition into the main worship service.

Children's Church

A child’s mind is like a sponge; they are inquisitive and interested in life around them. Starting at the age of 2, we use this precious time period in a child’s life to begin teaching them about the Bible. Mixed with play time and snack time, the children learn how to sit and listen to Bible stories and sing songs as a group. They begin to recognize that Jesus loves them, and that God created the world around them. With two classes ages 2-3 and 4-5, the lessons and activities are designed to teach children the stories of God’s love and His powerful work in their lives.

Tim Schelling

Pastor

Our pastor and his wife Vicki have been diligently and faithfully serving in the ministry for over 50 years! Pastor Schelling began pastoring his first church at 19 years of age at Second Baptist Church in Chatsworth, GA. (a branch church of Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN under the leadership of Dr. Lee Roberson). With the help of Pastor Lew Davis and the members at Tri-County Baptist Church, West Chester, OH, Pastor Schelling planted Northern Kentucky Baptist Church on May 4, 1980. He has served on the board of Shepherd's Bethel Mission and is currently on the board of the Tom Raper Foundation and the Final Frontiers Foundation . Pastor Schelling and his wife Vicki have been married for 46 years and have three grown children: Andy, Kelly, and Jessica.

Craig Miller

Assistant Pastor

Brother Craig began his working career as a public high school teacher in Cincinnati, OH in 2007. In February of 2015 he surrendered to the call of the Lord to ministry and enrolled in seminary at Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN. He graduated with a Master's in Ministry in May of 2017. Brother Craig began as Assistant Pastor in July of 2016 at NKBC. He teaches the Married Life Sunday school class and also leads our Wednesday night Master Clubs program for kids ages 6-12 along with being involved in several other ministries of NKBC. Brother Craig and his wife Kristen have been married since 2003 and have been blessed with three children: Owen, Avery, and Allison.
